Mobilität in Zahlen

“Mobilität in Zahlen” is a Grafana dashboard for the integrated presentation of mobility indicators for the City of Konstanz. The dashboard configurations combine data from several domains and make it available through one interface for public administration, specialist departments and interested members of the public. The exports include a landing page and a central home page as well as detailed views for pedestrian flows, cycling, motor-vehicle traffic, parking, charging stations and car sharing or micromobility. Depending on the connected data source, the dashboards can present current counts, time series, available bicycles and vehicles, free parking spaces, charging stations, and departure or traffic information. Weather data is also used to support the interpretation of mobility patterns. The dashboards query PostgreSQL-based data sources and tables or views made available through PostgREST. The included SQL queries are aligned with the data models and schemas of the intended environment. For reuse, data sources, tables, views, field names and, where necessary, the queries must be adapted to the respective municipal data infrastructure. The project provides dashboard configurations and the associated visualisation logic. It is not a general mobility data platform and does not replace data collection or the operational, privacy and security measures required for connected systems. The timeliness and significance of the displayed indicators depend on the respective data providers and their update intervals. The goal is to make urban mobility observable, comparable and understandable through data. Presenting different modes of transport together can support specialist departments in situation assessment, communication, planning and the development of further data-driven applications.
