mobil.live

A responsive web frontend that consolidates a location’s classic and modern mobility services for display on any web-enabled device.

mobil.live

A fully configured application is in productive use for the KielRegion at mobil.kielregion.de. The backend used for this is available on OpenCode as UDP1 Mobility Live Access.

Features and intended use of the frontend

With dynamic real-time information and a simple, well-designed user interface, users can explore the various mobility services in the vicinity of a given location. The live positions of ferries and scooters, the availability of sharing services, and public transport times are shown in real time together with a map view.

  • Multimodal traffic information with real-time data
  • Geolocation or free location search by end users
  • Dashboard configuration for fixed displays
  • Real-time data with delay information
  • Live locations of shared-mobility services

The application increases the visibility of all classic and modern transport services in the region and consolidates all mobility options. The offering facilitates a shift to alternative modes of transport and supports the move away from motorized individual transport toward a climate-friendly integrated mobility network.

Interactive search and preconfigured display boards

There are two variants for displaying the content:

  1. An interactive variant that can be used by end users directly on any web-enabled device. Users can search for a location or allow their location to be determined.

  2. A preconfigured variant intended for use on fixed display boards. The display is delivered under a special URL for a web browser in kiosk mode.
