frontend-shared is a reusable Angular component library that provides shared UI components, services, and TypeScript interfaces for the NRW.Desk platform. The library is consumed as a git-submodule by two consumer applications: portal-frontend, which serves as the central digital workplace for public sector employees, and conference-frontend, a video conferencing management application. Key features include a configurable shared header with navigation tiles for integrated services such as email, video conferencing, chat, calendar, documents, files, diagrams, and web applications; a comprehensive feedback system with category-based rating forms for each integrated service; a dashboard with GridStack.js-based draggable and resizable widgets for upcoming conferences and system notifications; an administration area for managing system notifications and handling ID-to-email migrations with real-time status updates via Server-Sent Events; and OIDC-based authentication integration using angular-auth-oidc-client. All components, menus, tiles, and feature flags are configurable through environment variables, enabling each consumer application to customize the shared library to its specific needs. The library follows Angular best practices with reactive forms, accessibility support including ARIA labels and keyboard navigation, responsive design, and centralized error handling with toast notifications.
