Föderales Entwicklungsportal

The Federal Development Portal (FEP) consolidates technical information for the development and integration of digital administrative services in Germany. It provides documentation, standards, API descriptions, help texts, background information, and additional development resources inin a single web portal. The target audience of the development portal includes:

• Software developers
• IT architects
• Project and program managers
• Product teams
• Open-source enthusiasts

The development portal facilitates access to relevant materials, reduces search effort and supports more consistent use of federal IT buildin blocks. Content can be maintained in a structured way, published in multiple languages, and organised for different subject areas such as FIT standards, resource directories, and project-specific documentation. The software therefore acts as a central knowledge and publishing platform for development-facing information in the public sector.

The Federal Development Portal is a product of the German IT Planning Council and is managed by the FITKO product management team.
